In a thrilling encounter at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, the Pakistan U19 cricket team narrowly lost to Afghanistan U19 by 11 runs in the Group A match of the ongoing ICC U19 Men's Cricket World Cup 2024.

Afghanistan U19 posted a challenging total of 181/9 in their allotted 50 overs, thanks to a crucial half-century from opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz. Pakistan U19 bowlers Haroon Arshad and Arafat Minhas impressed with three wickets each.

In response, Pakistan U19 fought valiantly but fell short of the target, finishing on 170/10 in 48.1 overs. Despite a spirited 64 from Haseebullah Khan and a brisk 36 from captain Qasim Akram, the team couldn't secure the victory.

Afghanistan U19 spinner Noor Ahmad was the standout performer for his side, claiming four wickets. This result leaves Pakistan U19 in a challenging position in Group A, while Afghanistan U19 strengthens their chances of advancing to the knockout stage.
