England U20s Preview
England begin their campaign to win a third straight World Rugby U20 Championship with a clash against Fiji in Argentina on Thursday
Eddie Jones will watch on from the Twickenham Stadium stands as England U20s begin their campaign to win a third straight World Rugby U20 Championship with a clash against Fiji in Argentina on Thursday (10.45pm UK time)
The young Red Roses will be among the favourites to lift the trophy again, having won the past two tournaments in 2013 and 2014. They will face a tough test in their opening match against a talented Fiji side, who have been runners-up in the past two tournaments.
England head coach Ian Vass has named a strong squad for the tournament, which includes 10 players who have already represented the senior team. Among them are Maro Itoje and Jack Clifford, who were both part of the England team that won the Six Nations Championship earlier this year.
Vass is confident that his team can make it three wins in a row at the World Rugby U20 Championship. "We have a lot of talented players in this squad and we're confident that we can go out there and win the tournament," he said.
"We know that Fiji will be a tough opponent, but we're prepared for them. We've been working hard in training and we're ready to play our best."
The match between England and Fiji will be shown live on Sky Sports 3. You can also follow the action on our website and social media channels.
